Matthew Mendoza, M.A. | BCBA, NY-LBA
Matthew Mendoza is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and New York Licensed Behavior Analyst (NY-LBA) with over six years of experience across clinic-based early intervention, home-based ABA, and school consultation settings.
Matthew began his career in the Chicago area, where he worked his way from behavior technician to BCBA under supervision, emphasizing trauma-informed, person-centered, and naturalistic care. His approach to functional assessment, learner autonomy, and applying behavioral principles in ways that reduce coercion and strengthen meaningful skills across real-world environments took shape during those early years.
After relocating to New York, Matthew expanded his scope into systems-level work, providing school-based BCBA consultation across multiple Nassau County districts; collaborating with educators and multidisciplinary teams, delivering professional development workshops, and supporting students with complex behavioral presentations.
Matthew believes that meaningful behavior change happens at the intersection of clinical rigor and genuine human connection, not in isolation, but across the environments and relationships that matter most to each child and family.
