Joseph Mangiardo, M.S. | BCBA, NY LBA

Joe Mongiardo is a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst in New York and Connecticut with over 15 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis. Throughout his career, Joe has worked with individuals across the lifespan, from early intervention through end-of-life care, in school, home, and clinical settings. His experience spans diverse communities and demographic backgrounds, allowing him to deliver individualized, culturally responsive care. He has held roles at every level of service delivery, beginning in direct support and behavior technician positions and advancing into clinical and director-level leadership, giving him a comprehensive and practical understanding of high-quality care.


Joe has developed a strong clinical focus on working with older children and adolescents who present with complex behavioral challenges. He is experienced in supporting individuals with severe behavior and significant skill deficits that impact daily functioning, with a focus on building practical life skills that promote independence, safety, and long-term success. His approach is structured, thoughtful, and grounded in real-world application, with an emphasis on interventions that are both effective and sustainable.


Joe values collaboration with families, educators, and interdisciplinary teams, and approaches his work with clarity, consistency, and respect. He believes that meaningful progress is achieved through strong partnerships and well-aligned support systems, particularly when working with individuals who require more intensive services.


Outside of his professional work, Joe enjoys being with his family, reading, and spending time with his two dogs, Alfie and Zev.
